A friend reached out to about a web app he was building, it was meant to be a platform that allows new users to set up a page on their birthdays to easily receive appreciation from friends and well wishers; through this app one could get gifts such as money, or kind words.
I was told to come up with a brand system for this new web app that he named "Birthdayish" which was fun to me. The blushing emoji on WhatsApp quickly came to mind, along with other things like: birthday cake, birthday candles etc.
I also wanted to avoid a cliché logo so I went for a metaphor for birthdays - balloons - a less obvious item relating to birthdays.
